Artificial Rainbow

"Thursday morning, August 18th 2011, a rainbow appeared in Copenhagen. And not on the sky, as it might be expected, but on the sunny bike road on Norrebro bridge. Seven colors were aligned and ready to be biked over. In just a few minutes the colors were spread along the bridge and bikers would leave the “crime scene” with their tires painted red, yellow, green etc. As various as their bikes, people’s reactions were interesting to observe: the anger in one man’s eyes since his perfect new racing bike was now “spoiled”, the curiosity of some that stopped to take pictures, the indifference with which most people passed by the colored lane, caught in their daily routine on their way to work.

Just as a real rainbow this one lasted just for half an hour, until someone made a call and the dazzled, bored fire brigade came to wash it away. Isn’t it funny how they were trying to wash with water a thing that in it’s origins exists because of the water?"
